About Texana Auctions

What is the Texana Auction?

The TSHA Texana Auction is the Texas State Historical Association’s largest fundraiser. The 2013 Texana Auction will be the fourth year in which TSHA and Heritage Auctions have partnered for this successful event. The last three years, over $200,000 has been raised to support the many education programs of the TSHA.

As a result of this success, the two organizations have agreed to work together on an ongoing basis both to enhance the yearly Heritage Texana Auction and to provide much needed funding for important Texas history programs that include the Handbook of Texas Online, the Texas Almanac, Texas History Day, and much more. Please consider a donation or consignment today!

History of Texana Auction

Texana collectors have long been a part of the mix of people, both academic and nonacademic, who, since 1897, have made the Texas State Historical Association successful in its efforts to “foster the appreciation, understanding, and teaching of the rich and unique history of Texas,” and we are glad to bring them back into the TSHA fold. We look forward to working with them in the coming years to make this the best, most fun, and most successful of all of Heritage’s endeavors.

About Texas State Historical Association
