A. There are many resources available in Texas for family history research. You might try contacting the Texas State Archives and Library Commission, P.O. Q. I'm trying to find a specific book on Texas history. Can you help me?
A. The Eugene C. Barker Texas History Collection, a research library containing more than 130,000 books, more than 3,500 individual collections of papers and official records, more than 35,000 clippings on Texas subjects, and approximately 3,100 Texas newspaper titles, is the leading source for published and unpublished materials dealing with Texas history. The BTHC, which is open to the public, is a component of the University of Texas at Austin Center for American History and is located in 2.101 Sid Richardson Hall on the UT Austin campus, telephone (512) 495-4515.
Q. I have a collection of family papers and/or photographs that I would like to make available for scholarly research. Can I donate them to the TSHA?
A. The TSHA does not maintain a collection of archival materials.
