ABRIACHE INDIANS. The Abriache (Abriade) Indians, who are generally considered to be Jumanos, lived in the vicinity of present Presidio during the late sixteenth century. Their settlements seem to have been along the south bank of the Rio Grande, but they must have crossed to the north bank on occasion. The Abriaches disappeared during the seventeenth century.
