ALAMO AND SAN JACINTO MONTHLY. The Alamo and San Jacinto Monthly was a literary magazine published in Georgetown and edited by students of Southwestern University. Two rival male literary and debating clubs, the Alamo and the San Jacinto, originated and sponsored the magazine in the later nineteenth century. The journal contained student musings on a variety of literary, historical, cultural, and political topics. It was edited by Jonathan L. Brooks in 1893.
