ADAMS, TEXAS (Schleicher County). Adams is twenty miles northeast of Eldorado and four miles east of Farm Road 2084 in eastern Schleicher County. By 1903 the settlement was the focus of a common school district; in 1947 it was made part of the Schleicher County rural high school district. A few scattered houses marked the community on county highway maps in the late 1940s, and in the 1980s maps showed a community center in the area.
