BADILLO, JUAN ANTONIO (?-1836). Juan Antonio Badillo, Alamo defender, was born in Texas. He was one of a number of native Texans who enlisted for six months' service and fought in the siege of Bexarqv under Capt. Juan N. Seguín.qv After the battle, Badillo accompanied Seguín back to Bexar and the Alamo in February 1836. He remained in the Alamo after Seguin was sent out to rally reinforcements and died in the battle of the Alamoqv on March 6, 1836.
