BELKNAP, CHARLES (?-?). Charles Belknap, one of Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred colonists, was a partner of George Brownqv. On May 22, 1827, the two men received title to a sitio now in Fort Bend County. The census of 1826 listed Belknap as a farmer and stock raiser aged between twenty-five and forty. He died before October 31, 1829, when the Texas Gazette carried a notice of a public sale of his real estate.
