BURRIS PRAIRIE, TEXAS. Burris Prairie was near Bald Hill in south central Angelina County. The area was first settled before the Civil War by pioneers from the Old South. A post office operated there from 1860 to 1866, but by the 1880s the community was no longer shown on maps.
