BUTTON PRAIRIE, TEXAS. Button Prairie, seven miles southeast of Milano in eastern Milam County, was supposedly named for the buttonlike acorns produced by oak trees in the region. A church and a few scattered houses appeared on county highway maps of the area in 1941. There was no evidence of the community in 1988.
