BRIAR BRANCH (Milam County). Briar Branch rises five miles east of Rockdale in southeastern Milam County (at 30°38' N, 96°55' W) and runs southwest for eight miles to its mouth on East Yegua Creek and the Burleson-Lee county line, fifteen miles west of Caldwell (at 30°33' N, 96°57' W). It crosses rolling to flat terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support mesquite, scrub brush, cacti, and grasses.
