CARPENTER, DAVID (?-?). David Carpenter was a partner of William Harrisqv as one of Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred families. He and Harris received title to a sitio now in Harris County on August 16, 1824. The census of 1826 classified Carpenter as a blacksmith and a single man aged between twenty-five and forty.
