CALVARY, TEXAS (Trinity County). Calvary, at the junction of Farm roads 233 and 357, fourteen miles northeast of Groveton in northern Trinity County, grew up around a school established in the 1890s. Its school was later consolidated with the school at Apple Springs. In the mid-1930s Calvary had a church, a cemetery, and a few scattered houses. In the early 1990s the church and cemetery were still at the site.
