CLEAR CREEK, TEXAS (Henderson County). Clear Creek was near the site of present Tool, twelve miles northwest of Athens in northwestern Henderson County. The site was settled before 1869, and at one time a church and a school were in the area. After World War II most of the residents left, and by the early 1990s only a few scattered houses remained.
