COLLINS, TEXAS (Jasper County). Collins was on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway seventy-five miles north of Beaumont in north central Jasper County. The rail siding at Collins was established before 1918 on the Gulf, Beaumont and Great Northern Railway and was reportedly named after a black settler, Sebe Collins. In 1984 the railroad siding and a small gravel pit marked the locale.
