CASE CREEK. Case Creek rises 4½ miles northeast of Ethel in southwestern Grayson County (at 33°36' N, 96°48' W) and runs southwest for seven miles to its mouth on Range Creek, 1½ miles southeast of Ethel (at 33°31' N, 96°49' W). The surrounding flat to rolling prairie with local shallow depressions is surfaced by soils ranging from dark, commonly calcareous clays to clay and sandy loams that support mesquite, water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, cacti, and various grasses.
