COW CREEK (Milam County). Cow Creek rises two miles north of Yarrellton in northwestern Milam County (at 30°59' N, 97°05' W) and runs southeast for eight miles to its mouth on McFall Branch, five miles northwest of Cameron (at 30°55' N, 97°01' W). The surrounding flat to rolling prairie is surfaced by dark, calcareous clay that supports mesquite, cacti, and grasses.
