DICO INDIANS. The Dico Indians are known from a single 1691 Spanish missionary report that lists them among the groups that lived southeast of the Hasinai Indians. Since the distance was not given, it is impossible to tell whether the Dico area was in eastern Texas or western Louisiana. Their affiliations are unknown. BIBLIOGRAPHY: John R. Swanton, Source Material on the History and Ethnology of the Caddo Indians (Smithsonian Institution, Bureau of American Ethnology Bulletin 132, Washington: GPO, 1942).
