DALLAS EXPRESS. The Dallas Express, a black newspaper, was published weekly at Dallas by W. E. King beginning in 1893. Carter W. Wesley,qv owner of the Houston Informer (see HOUSTON INFORMER AND TEXAS FREEMAN), purchased the paper around 1970, but plans to move it to Houston did not materialize, and publication ceased around November of that year.
