DAVIDSON, SAMUEL (?-?). Samuel Davidson, one of Stephen F. Austin'sqv Old Three Hundredqv colonists, received the title to a sitioqv of land now in Brazos County on July 21, 1824. The grant is located on the Brazos River near Wellborn and includes Minter Springs. Although it is doubtful that he was the original colonist, a man named Samuel Davidson served in James Gillaspie'sqv company in the Mexican War.qv
