DAFFAN, TEXAS. Daffan, seven miles northeast of Austin and just south of U.S. Highway 290 in eastern Travis County, served in the 1930s and 1940s as a station on the Texas and New Orleans Railroad. The community's population was reported as twenty from the 1930s through the 1960s. The 1985 county highway map identified Daffan, but showed no buildings at its site.
