DERNAL, TEXAS. Dernal is just west of Farm Road 404 between Victoria and Bloomington in southern Victoria County. It was on the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway. In 1947 it had a cotton gin and twenty-five residents, a population it also reported in 1961. Dernal was still listed as a community in 1990.
