DODDVILLE, TEXAS (Lee County). Doddville was a post office community in east central Lee County that existed around the time of the Civil War. It is believed to have been somewhere between the sites of later Giddings and Dime Box, possibly near Old Evergreen. At one time the settlement had a school with T. N. Stead as the teacher. The town was apparently abandoned by 1900.
