EAGLE CREEK (Palo Pinto County). Eagle Creek rises seven miles southwest of Palo Pinto in central Palo Pinto County (at 32°42' N, 98°25' W) and runs north for ten miles to its mouth on the Brazos River, four miles northwest of Palo Pinto (at 32°49' N, 98°21' W). The creek, which is intermittent in its upper reaches, traverses an area of rolling hills, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, mesquite, cacti, and grasses.
