EAGLE MOUNTAIN (Hudspeth County). Eagle Mountain is twenty-four miles southeast of Sierra Blanca in southeastern Hudspeth County (at 30°55' N, 105°05' W). With an elevation of 7,484 feet above sea level, it is the highest peak in the Eagle Mountain range. The surrounding rugged terrain is marked by numerous box canyons and high relief and is surfaced by shallow, stony soil that supports Douglas fir, aspen, Arizona cypress, maple, ponderosa pine, and madrone.
