FAILS, TEXAS. Fails is on State Highway 75 ten miles northwest of Huntsville in northwestern Walker County. The community developed around the Pine Creek Church. A school followed, constructed on property given by Joe Fails. The Pine Creek school offered six grades in 1911. In 1936 the community had scattered farm dwellings and one business.
