FOX, TEXAS (Gonzales County). Fox, nineteen miles southwest of Gonzales in Gonzales County, appears to have been established in the 1880s. The settlement had a post office from 1890 to 1892. In 1892 Fox had a population of twenty and served as a judicial seat as well as a banking and shipping point for the area. Fox was not shown on the 1936 county highway map.
