FALLS PRONG. Falls Prong (Fall Creek) rises about 1½ miles east of the Gillespie-Kimble county line in western Gillespie County (at 30°21' N, 99°16' W) and runs northwest for ten miles to its mouth on the Little Devils River, six miles northeast of Noxville (at 30°25' N, 99°21' W). The creek is generally free-flowing for six miles, from Falls Prong Spring to its mouth. Once called Fall Creek, Falls Prong was probably named after a waterfall located 3½ miles upstream.
