FALL CREEK (San Saba County). Fall Creek rises about six miles southeast of Cherokee in southeastern San Saba County (at 30°55' N, 98°36' W) and meanders east along the San Saba-Llano county line for seventeen miles to its mouth on the northern end of Lake Buchanan (at 30°55' N, 98°27' W). The creek, which is intermittent in its upper reaches, traverses flat to rolling uplands with live oak, Ashe juniper, and grasses growing in shallow and stony clayey soils.
