GARRAND, JAMES W. (1813-1836). James W. Garrand, Alamo defender, was born in 1813. At the time of the Texas Revolutionqv he was a resident of Louisiana. He served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. William Blazeby'sqv infantry company and died in the battle of the Alamoqv on March 6, 1836.
