GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (San Augustine County). Grapevine is on Farm Road 3279 ten miles south of San Augustine in central San Augustine County. In 1904 the community had two one-teacher schools: one serving fifty-five black pupils and the other serving forty white pupils. In 1940 the community comprised a number of scattered dwellings. By the 1980s Grapevine consisted of a number of dwellings and a church.
