GREATHOUSE, TEXAS. Greathouse was a farming community ten miles southwest of Waxahachie in southwestern Ellis County. During the 1930s it had a church, a cemetery, and a number of widely scattered dwellings. In 1980 the Greathouse Cemetery was on a spur off Farm Road 66 five miles east of Maypearl.
