GAGES CREEK. Gages (Gage) Creek rises in southwestern Young County (at 32°60' N, 98°48' W) and runs southeast for four miles to its mouth on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, near Eliasville (at 32°58' N, 98°46' W). The stream traverses flat terrain with local shallow depressions. Water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses grow in the clayey and sandy loams that surround the creekbed.
