HANNUM, JAMES (1815-1836). James Hannum, Alamo defender, son of Washington Lee and Martha (Robertson) Hannum, was born in Pennsylvania on August 8, 1815. He served in the Alamo garrison and died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
