HAPPY VALLEY, TEXAS. Happy Valley is at the intersection of Farm Road 1086 and U.S. Highway 277 on Valley Creek, thirty miles southwest of Abilene in southwestern Taylor County. Valley Creek School was established in the area in 1884 and had closed by the 1930s. The town had a business and a number of scattered dwellings in 1940. By the 1980s a number of homes remained along the creek. In 2000 the population was ten.
