HACKBERRY CREEK (Randall County). Hackberry Creek rises west of U.S. Highway 87 and the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway in south central Randall County (at 34°53' N, 101°56' W) and runs eight miles north to its mouth on Tierra Blanca Creek, just below Lake McSpadden (at 34°58' N, 101°55' W). The creek crosses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by deep, fine sandy loam that supports hardwood forest, brush, and grasses.
