HACKBERRY DRAW. Hackberry Draw rises six miles south of Interstate Highway 10 in western Pecos County (at 30°52' N, 103°20' W) and runs north for thirty-three miles to its mouth on the Pecos River, in eastern Reeves County (at 31°21' N, 103°09' W). It crosses rolling terrain with moderately steep slopes, surfaced by shallow and stony to deeper loams and clays, some of which contain gypsum or powdery lime, that support scrub brush, sparse grasses, creosote bush, and cacti. Hackberry Draw is crossed by I-10 twenty-eight miles west of Fort Stockton in Pecos County and by Farm Road 1450 twenty-four miles east of Pecos in Reeves County.
