HAGGERTY CREEK.
Haggerty Creek rises a mile northeast of Scottsville in east central
Harrison County (at 32°33' N, 94°14' W) and runs northeast
for thirteen miles to its mouth on the Gum Slough of Big Cypress
Bayou, just west of Caddo Lake State Parkqv (at 32°42' N, 94°12' W). The stream's main tributaries
are Karnack, Key, and Deboldin creeks. The local terrain is gently
undulating to hilly, surfaced by loamy and clayey soils
that support dense patches of pine and hardwood trees along the
creek's banks.
