HARL CREEK. Harl (Harl's) Creek rises nine miles northeast of Cameron in northern Milam County (at 30°58' N, 96°53' W) and runs southeast for thirteen miles to its mouth on the Little River, eleven miles west of Cameron (at 30°52' N, 96°48' W). The local terrain is flat to rolling with local shallow depressions, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support mesquite and water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
