HAGER CREEK. Hager Creek rises a mile southwest of Ivie in southeastern Houston County (at 31°16' N, 95°08' W) and runs northeast for four miles to its mouth on Helton Creek, near the Old Ivy Church (at 31°19' N, 95°07' W). It traverses flat terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loam soils that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
