JOTARS INDIANS. The Jotars Indians were mentioned by Athanase de Mézières in 1779 as living in a locality northwest of Nacogdoches with the Kichai and Nasoni Indians, from whom an epidemic had spread to the Tawakonis, Caddos, and other groups.
