JOSSELET, TEXAS. Josselet is on U.S. Highway 277 and the Burlington Northern Railroad, five miles north of Haskell in north central Haskell County. It was established after 1908 as a station on the Wichita Valley Railroad and named for landowner Victor Joseph Josselet, a native of Belgium. Early census reports gave the settlement a population of ten and one business in 1936 and twenty-five and one business in 1945. County maps in 1980 showed the location of Josselet but indicated no railroad switch or commercial activities.
