JACKSONVILLE COLLEGIATE INSTITUTE. Jacksonville Collegiate Institute was conducted in Jacksonville, Texas, from 1873 to 1878 by John J. A. Patton, the son of a Presbyterian minister. The school closed when Patton moved to Marlin.
