JACKSONVILLE INSTITUTE. R. E. Hendry conducted the Jacksonville Institute in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, Texas, in the former Jacksonville Collegiate Institute^qv buildings from 1878 to 1881 or 1882. An academy followed for a time, but the property was sold to the public schools in 1885.
