JACKSONVILLE INSTITUTE. R. E. Hendry conducted the Jacksonville Institute in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, Texas, in the former Jacksonville Collegiate Instituteqv buildings from 1878 to 1881 or 1882. An academy followed for a time, but the property was sold to the public schools in 1885.
