JACKSON BRANCH.
Jackson Branch (Jackson Creek) rises 2½ miles south of Cherokee
in southern San Saba County (at 30°57' N, 98°43' W)
and runs north for five miles to its mouth on Cherokee Creek (at
31°00' N, 98°41' W). The stream traverses flat to steep
terrain with live oak, Ashe juniper, and grasses growing in clayey
and sandy loam soils.
