J. D. CREEK. J. D. Creek, which has also been known as P. D. Creek, rises north of Buescher State Park^qv in southeastern Bastrop County (at 30°06' N, 97°10' W) and runs south 6½ miles to its mouth on the Colorado River (at 30°02' N, 97°08' W). The stream crosses an upland and stream terrace area of nearly level to steeply sloping terrain with a loamy surface layer. It runs along the edge of the Lost Pine Forest,^qv through an area of post oak woods.
