KENNON, ALFRED (?-?). Alfred Kennon, one of Stephen F. Austin'sqv Old Three Hundredqv colonists, received title to a league of land on the west bank of the Brazos River in what is now southeastern Burleson County on July 19, 1824. The census of March 1826 classified him as a farmer and stock raiser, aged between twenty-five and forty. His household included his wife, Jemima (Fisher), daughter of Austin colonist James Fisher,qv and a son under seven years of age.
