KELLOGG, JOHN BENJAMIN (1817-1836). John Benjamin Kellogg, Alamo defender, son of John Benjamin Kellogg, was born in Kentucky in 1817. He was a resident of Gonzales, Texas, in 1835, when he married Sidney Gaston Miller, the former wife of Thomas R. Miller. Kellogg joined the relief force from Gonzales and rode to the Alamo, where he arrived on March 1, 1836. He died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
