KELLOGG, JOHN BENJAMIN (1817-1836). John Benjamin Kellogg, Alamo defender, son of John Benjamin Kellogg, was born in Kentucky in 1817. He was a resident of Gonzales, Texas, in 1835, when he married Sidney Gaston Miller, the former wife of Thomas R. Miller.^qv Kellogg joined the relief force from Gonzales and rode to the Alamo, where he arrived on March 1, 1836. He died in the battle of the Alamo^qv on March 6, 1836.
