LINDSEY, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, JR. (?-?). Benjamin Franklin Lindsey (Lindsay), Jr., son of Mary Amy (Earle) and Benjamin Lindsey, Sr., came to Texas with his family from Tennessee around 1824 and settled near San Augustine. He took part in the battle of San Jacinto and was issued a headright certificate by the San Augustine County board on June 22, 1838. He was living in Hunt County in September 1881, when he sold his veterans donation certificate of 1,280 acres of land to R. GarcĂa.
