LAKE LEWISVILLE STATE PARK. Lake Lewisville State Park is on the eastern shore of Lake Lewisville six miles northeast of Lewisville in southeastern Denton County. The 721-acre park was leased from the United States Army Corps of Engineers in 1981. It has boat ramps, picnic areas, multi-use camping facilities, bait and tackle concessions, shelter restrooms, showers, and a playground. The entrance to the lake is on Farm Road 423. The park is used by many Dallas-Fort Worth sailing, waterskiing, and fishing enthusiasts.
